Bread making and I have not always been friends.
Twas many a failed loaf before I finally had success.
I recommend starting with Ma'Kenzies no fail recipe if you are just starting
your bread making journey. It has really detailed instructions that will make it easier for you and yeast to get to know one another.

Oh look a project!
I haven't forgotten about those of us who need our daily dose of craftiness ;-)
Sometimes I can resurface from my piles of homework and laundry to do something fun.
Drill a hole in your jar lids.

So you may or may not be aware but I am going back to school full time.
That is where I have been lately.
16 credit hours this term YIKES!
So I have been absent from blog land, but I wanted to take a minute to check in and tell you how life is.

So today it has been fourteen years.
It's a lot colder today then it was the day we tied-the-knot.
December 30, 1998 was a comfortable 55 degrees, today it's an expected high of 30 with snow.
So glad I got married 14 years ago because today would not be an ideal day for a wedding.
We were just kids, he was 21 and I was 19.
But I think it might have been good that we were so young.Rachaelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10597946981290482388noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2846223608490210332.post-29130337141658408002012-12-02T15:40:00.000-08:002012-12-02T15:40:07.269-08:00Reasons why I love boys
This is a bit of a photo journal about my boys.
A lot of these photos are some of my favorites.
My boys were really darling when they were little.
And while I can't call my big boys "darling" anymore they are truly amazing.
So here are some reasons in particular why I love boys.
First of all little boys are just so cute.
I think the cuteness is a survival mechanism

I got my Christmas present early this year :-)
The hubs and I made a table.
And it turned out even better then I imagined it would.
We are planning on getting a glass top to cover the cracks.
The chairs were on the side of the road with a "Free" sign.
I was with my sis-in-law and I will be eternally grateful that she saw them.
They were in pretty shabby shape, but Rachaelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10597946981290482388noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2846223608490210332.post-48575116454992764212012-11-14T20:09:00.001-08:002012-11-14T20:09:49.802-08:00Last Night
Last night I went out to a baby shower and as soon as I left my little guy Todd (6) walked up to Chad and said "Daaad. Mom is gone, know what that means? P-P-P-Party every day! P-P-P-Party every day! Woohoo! Tonight's gonna be a good night! Tonight's gonna be a good, good night!"
It's nice to know that I am so missed and loved when I'm gone.

Halloween 2012 was a smashing success.
Lots of fun.
Lots of candy.
Lots of darling (and scary) children.
Lots of family.

You can do this too if you have medium sewing skills.
I know it looks complicated, but it isn't.
Mainly because you don't have to hem anything...
Hemming is the bane of my sewing existence.
This project took me less then a hour and a half.
Before we get started, let me introduce you to Beverly, my new girl.

A few days ago I got a call from the school principal regarding my six year old son.
He had been in a fight during recess.
"Did he win?" You ask, at least thats what my husband asked.
No not really.
He had a disagrement with another boy so this boy pinned my son down and sat on his head.
In order to dislodge this boy from his head my son began to hit and kick.
I can't Rachaelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10597946981290482388noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2846223608490210332.post-15206896789080871402012-10-17T08:47:00.000-07:002012-10-17T15:46:46.852-07:00New Flooring. Yay!
The new flooring in our kitchen and front room is done!
We still have to install trim and do some touch up painting but we will get to that... I hope.
I talk more about how this all happened here and here.
Just a recap, this was our floor before.
Yuck.
This was very cheaply made tile that was also cheaply installed.

Last night I dreamt that I was in a theater watching a play. I love going to plays so this was really exciting for me. All of a sudden in the middle of the play someone started snoring really loudly, so loudly that I couldn't hear the actors. After a few minutes of this I started to get mad "How Rude!" Someone asked me the other day what I pack my kids for lunch.
Pretty much the basic stuff, juice box, cheese stick, pretzels, treat etc.
But my kids do not like sandwiches.
Unless they are deli-meat sandwiches, but the amount of meat and cheese these sandwiches require makes it unreasonable to make them often.
One of their favorite things to bring are these lunchbox Rachaelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10597946981290482388noreply@blogger.com8
