Mason Jar Soap Dispenser

It's getting to be that time of the year where we start thinking about fun, inexpensive,
original gifts to give for the holidays.

This is what I have made first.

But... I am keeping them. If anyone else wants one I will have to make more.

They are fabulous.

I looked at soap dispenser nozzles that you can buy... No thanks, I'm not spending $5-8 bucks on one.

So I just bought the soap with the nozzle that I liked best and some spray-paint.

Drill the hole and attach the nozzle with glue BEFORE you paint.

Because it might get all scratched up when you drill. (See picture).

Drill, glue, paint, fill with soap and screw on the jar.

LOVE the paint. Rust-oleum Oil rubbed bronze, it really looks like metal.

I'm gonna have fun with this stuff...
Ugly cabinet knobs look out!

Close up of the paint.

I will be making more of these. My house has 4 bathrooms and a kitchen sink. I need at least 5...
And of course I did originally want them to give as gifts...

I'd better get crackin before it's too cold for the spray paint to dry.

Thanks for stoping by!

What a cute idea! I may just have to make some of those for our house. I noticed you used E6000... I love that glue!

Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment about my Halloween Sign.

Spraying them with rust-oleum is a good idea. I have made these and they are rusting but not in a good way! Yours came out very cute!

Cute idea! We have a few of those really old blue-ish mason jars. I bet they'd look great doing this. Thanks!

Cute! So you glue the nozzle through the hole? I will for sure be making these. I bet you could even fill them with antibac hand gel, too.

I've tried that too but yours turned out better. I'm gluing this time, then spraying.
THANKS!

I love these so cute! We use the foam soap I guess they would work the same.

Did you have a problem with the paint coming off tube that pumps up and down?

So cute, wonder if I could make these using the Bath & Body Works Foam dispenser instead of gel soap. Fresh apple smell coming out of one would be fab in the kitchen.

Have you had a problem with the paint coming off after some time as the tube pumps up and down?

On some of them, the ones that we used right away has had some paint scratch off, but it's not super noticeable. The ones that I put aside for a few weeks are in better shape. I guess paint really does need to cure for a few days hehe. So my advice, let the paint cure you will have less scratches.
